The year is almost over. Sometimes, I wonder where the year has gone. Each year brings changes. This year a big change for me was becoming the President of CHCAE. Ray surprised me when he stepped down. I had thought if I didn't like being the Vice-President, I could step down.

One regret I have for the year is just not enough time to meet and help our members more. This summer I would like to meet with some members and find out your concerns, problems, and how to make teaching easier for members next year. Please let me know if you would like to help plan CHCAE events, workshops for your school or the district next year.

We are working on dues for next year. One goal is to have the dues divided over 10 pay periods. NEA has increased their dues for next year. We will keep CHCAE dues at the same rate. With the gas prices going up and up, I know that everyone's budget has changed.
